There are many ways that you can decorate and design your kitchen. Carefully selecting the right door fronts is the basis of creating a space which it the centre of your home. Kitchen trends change over time and staying at the forefront can be simple by updating your door fronts. We have a range of popular fronts to choose from which will suit whichever style you opt for.
A traditional style which has retained popularity is the shaker door. This type of cabinet front has stood the test of time and can be added to your kitchen to provide a timeless understated look. Coupled with a minimalist colour from our Standard Range, these doors will uplift your kitchen while helping to create a classic feel.
A further key trend for kitchens is the inclusion of blue hues. This colour fits in perfectly with the current leaning towards vintage looks. While lighter hues can be understated, darker tones can be chosen for those who want to make a bolder statement with their tone of blue. Updating the door fronts to one of these tones will allow you to complete the room with a range of coloured appliances and utensils which complement the colour. If you want a modern twist for your kitchen look up the Latest Kitchen Styles for this and next year.
Of course, you may choose to completely overhaul your kitchen. Whether you have a large or small space, having a bespoke kitchen designed could be the answer to creating your perfect home. Designing a kitchen should centre around functionality. Think about how you use your kitchen and work from there.
A popular choice is to include a kitchen island with built in units. Selecting the way these units open and close not only saves space but can also add a wow factor to your kitchen. In recent years drawer fronts without handles have been widely used to help create a modern, sleek style. Crisp linear designs in simple or bold colours finished with a patterned kitchen drawer front help to create an ultra-modern look. Choosing a bold colour finish from our Vinyl collection will help to make your kitchen stand out and reflect your character.
However, choosing to include handles is tipped to be a reemerging trend. All of our kitchen drawer fronts can be customised with different style of handles to give it the room a unique feel. Interior designers are tipping large handles in bold colours to be the perfect alternative to stainless steel or wooden handles which are sure to create an impression when people visit your home. Of course, you can experiment with plain or patterned doors from our range and finish with your choice of colour to create a truly unique kitchen space.
Patrick and Betty contacted us looking for advice on how to create the kitchen of their dreams. They have lived in the same house for 30 years- as newlyweds, parents and now grandparents. Betty is a semi-retired teacher and spends her days off looking after he grandchildren and catching up with her friends. When the weather isn’t as kind, Betty loves nothing more than to cook- especially baking. Betty wanted her new kitchen to have lots of storage for all her ingredients and baking equipment. She also wanted it to have a spacious sociable feel, so she could enjoy the grandchildren visiting as well as catching up with her friends over a cup of tea. They had seen lots of package kitchens they liked but each came with a hefty price tag.
Following an initial phone conversation, we asked Betty to send us some photos of the cupboards and cabinets already in the kitchen to see how we could help. We guided Betty through our website and she was able to order samples of the colours, so she could find the perfect choice for her. She settled on cupboard fronts with an illusion pattern in a pastel green. She also ordered some gold handles to complete the look. With the help of Patrick, Betty was able to provide us with the measurements needed for her existing cabinets.
After delivering the doors, Betty set Patrick to work installing them and her new kitchen was ready in a matter of weeks from first contacting us. Once the kitchen cupboard fronts were replaced the room felt brand new. Betty is happy with the kitchen and Patrick is even happier with the price.
